THE CONCEPT

Japan has been a source of inspiration for me. I view inspiration not as a magical moment that solves all questions posed by the act of creation.

It is more the search for a deep understanding of what is unnamed and cannot thus be expressed in words. I tend to dismiss inspiration as a myth. For me its just searching for a solution for something that is intriguing to me. Or, sometimes, its just there.

In the case of Zenimages, all I had to do is to let myself be in tune with the Great Zen Temple I visited in Kyoto. Little details that are often at ground level have been blown to become a full photograph with little explanation other then the same attention Darwin paid to the miniature living world whose love is shared by the Buddhist monks.

I hope you enjoy these photographs as much as I have when I discovered the immense beauty that exists on each of them. Just a humble homage to Mother Nature.
