FIRST SUNDAY VISITORS

As I was asked by local TV Station to give an inteview at the Gallery on Sunday, October 16. I was impressed with the flow of visitors. At the ticketing counter they informed me that since Wednesday they have been receiving calls on when would the exhibition be opening, despite the rress releases, and that we had a very steady flow of visitors all week-end. I headed towards the third floor.

These pictures were taken as soon as I came in. The TV Station cameraman was filming everything. Most were young people, but then came other people as the flow continued.

I discovered Sara with some friends she was guiding. Always with a warm smile in her face.

Ana the Portuguese TV reporter started to interview visitors who could speak English. They were very impressed.

We then moved to the Educational corner where some people were viewing a documentary about sword making. Showed the Damascus display case with a necklace, a damascus bar and a knife.

THE INTERVIEW

The impact that the exhibition is causing, is not only confined to Macau. The word is spreading to Hong Kong and Mainland China, not to mention that in just 48 hours, the homepage of this site has achieved 1076 hits by 18:36 PM Sunday, Macau Time.

The interview focused around the why of this exhibition, which was answered at length an was supported by the encouraging results that the reporter witnessed about the constant flow of visitors. She will be editing this piece and showing it both on the local and Portuguese Television.
