Esta visita de cortesia e reconhecimento do local, em 14 de Outubro de 2004, foi crucial para os contactos subsequentes a encetar com as autoridades Coreanas com vista à planificação da Exposição História do Aço na Ásia Oriental, um projecto ambicioso a nível mundial que se realizou com inteiro êxito e ineditismo pela primeira vez no mundo.
O Consul Geral, Senhor Cho estava acompanhado pela sua Mulher, a artista Senhora D. Paek Hee Young além do Senhor. Ohm Ki Sung - Consul para os Assuntos Políticos e Sr. Kim Myong Jin, Consul.
Posteriormente, o Consul Senhor Kim Cheol-Hyeon organizou a minha primeira viagem em 19 Janeiro de 2005 a Seoul       .

CULTURA COREANA E SEOUL
A viagem a Seoul foi maravilhosa.
O nosso desejo de querer ajudar a promover a cultura Coreana por via da Exposição de Armaria parece ter sido muito bem compreendida, e todos os esforços serão desenvolvidos no sentido de cumprir a palavra dada, relevando as armas existentes no National Folk Museum dirigido pela Prof. Hongnam Kim, o Museu Militar onde me encontrei com o Senhor  Jae-Han An e o Memorial da Guerra onde fui recebido com honras invulgares.

A visita à Professora Kim Hongnam, directora do National Folk Museum foi extremamente cortês e produtiva, tendo-me sido oferecida uma visita muito detalhada.

On the afternoon we visited the Military Museum and were kindly greeted by Mr. Mr. Jae-Han An, who showed the Museum around. The swords that are to be indicated will soon be uploaded so that an entire group is shown. I however must say that the stone daggers, the bronze swords and the round ring pommel swords shown above are of extreme historical importance for Korea to show as the round pommel swords later appeared in Japan.
It is of utmost importance that in an International Exhibition, these swords are shown as Korean swords!
The Military Museum has more swords of importance as well.

The visit to the War Memorial was particularly warm by the unexpected Reception provided, which left me very touched by Korean Warmth.
