CHINESE INK PAINTING MY STYLEI increasingly do my work with simplicity and at random, keeping the mind free from the definite image of the final result, letting the brush flow at the whim of the object's shifting states, allowing it to speak for itself. Therefore, the choice of matter becomes more important, while the rest is left to chance, forcing me to forget theory and acquired experience, focusing on the sate of matter. To me, the final result thus obtained is often unexpected and fulfilling. As material and language Chinese ink should be used today in such a manner that it goes beyond its traditional value incorporating the contemporary spirit and reflecting the relationship between Man and Nature. Only in that way does the work of art make sense. |
