Garments
have always been, through time, the most immediate way of
communication.
NOTHING IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND has changed that much. HOWEVER, with the advent of
industrialization, democratization of clothing was achieved
through standardization and mechanical means.
the
personalized touch WAS LOST TO MASS PRODUCTION.
I think the main issue here is to ask what is fashion?
According to Coco Channel, it is what you see in the
streets. I fully agree.
The word has a connection with merchandising more than a
personal choice, and that I am sorry for.
My aim as a fashion designer is to
create clothes that outlast a season and do not follow trends
dictated by the money making industry.
In my personal view fashion is one of the oldest cultural
statements of mankind. It is mainly a cultural legacy that
leads us to choose a style or even an anti-style, which is nothing
but the reverse side of the coin.
Choosing something to wear in the morning, is by itself a
choice. It seems obvious and it is obvious, and all of us just
take it as a daily habit.
.
After some years of interruption, I have decided to come back to
designing clothes, and to provide customers with
personal approaches of contemporary clothes as well as design
interpretations of Period Clothing.
Please do not ask me to
copy or replicate something. I don't believe in copying period clothing.
Any period.
I do believe in interpreting
a legacy, combining history with contemporary design.
For women, I am readily able
to provide Eastern contemporary clothes each designed
according to your own characteristics, with superb Eastern fabrics
bearing a millenary tradition.
No, you will not look like a reenacted Chinese. You will
have just made an option, or a choice, concerning certain
shapes and sumptuous materials that are originally from China.
My approach to Men's clothes is characterized by a full
masculine approach. I am a man and I do project my own
archetypes.
As for Women, my approach is a tribute to their particular femininity,
their age, their type of body, as viewed by a man who likes to be
a man.
I view women through the eyes of a man, and
my designs are my appreciation of the female entirety, not just the
body.
Brocades, Jacquard
silks and plain silks of different kinds, will be for the moment, some of my
available materials, as well as Italian cashmeres and
luxurious wools.
I like to blend East and West, and obtain a
unique look that is not based on the dominance of any of the
hemispheres, nor is the clich?type of clothing.
Every single piece of garment is custom made for you by
experienced craftsmen.
When you make a choice of clothing style, you are making a
cultural choice and we are both aware of that. So, as a designer
I'll use all my understanding of yourself for explaining the whys of
my suggestions.
Apart from the fabrics, we need some imagination and
creativity.
And here, in the Far East, we try to work as quick as possible, as
best as possible. You will be the judge of our quality and
creativity.
With us, service has a different natural meaning.
