Floors 9
to 12 were visited and pictures taken for study.
Again a need to achieve a possible uniformity was felt, and
this feeling is also shared by the Company since the request
for design extends to the floors Lift Atriums.
Indeed every floor displays a different color scheme to the
visitor that exits the elevator. To achieve a maximum level of
uniformity considering the open office scheme, the main wall in front
of the lift area had to be treated obeying to the Company color scheme
as much as possible. |

To that purpose
I used the 9th. Floor as a standard approach on how to treat
the Lift Atriums.
I paved the floor with the same red polished granite from both the
Ground Floor and the elevator’s floor, thus making a link that is
already in the elevator and should, therefore, be naturally extended.
The area defined by the granite flooring was achieved following a
natural path dictated by the disposition of the offices.
Aluminium was used in new walls not only to follow the
Corporate recommendation for silver colour to be used, but also
because matte aluminium provides a very pleasing and quiet atmosphere
which, combined with the floor and with glass on top of the walls
create a first impression that provides a variation of the color
scheme more adapted to office. |
