Welcome to my Swords Collection. It is a very modest collection compared to the ones I know of and to many others that I don't know. I started this collection around 1996, and as I got more involved in and learnt more about Japanese swords and the composition of decorative elements, I started to design their furniture or koshirae by assembling  themes that were available in the market. It would be unthinkable of me to dare plan with one of a kind pieces of sword furniture, so instead, I took the challenge of using what is available.
I tried to impart in most of them, my personal taste. My latest acquisition was the Howard Clark L6 Bainite, which I named Atziluth, and it displays a tendency for modernizing parts of the blade, such as the guard.
I believe in an evolutionary approach to swords rather than just collecting variations. But I also have to work withing the boundaries of what is technically possible and at hand. Nevertheless, I must say I am very happy with what I have and am ready to admire other much better collections. Being a designer, I decided to create BLADESIGN as a way to convey my own views.
I hope you enjoy my collection, and if you want to contact me, please do.
