I have arrived back from my vacations and I'm reminding you that you will
receive the blade pretty soon, sent by Howard. The blade is a SHOBU
ZUKURI, and Howard will be finishing the Silver Habaki anytime.
I very much appreciate if you could print this for work.
This one is a real cutter, and I will be using it for that purpose. I'm waiting for your reply on your talk with your polisher after our exchange of emails during my vacation.
First polish will be made by Howard so he will have the surfaces defined.
I request a visible hamon polish. It does not have to be a full polish or etched. Just a visible well defined hamon.
THE TSUKA
In the blade specifications I have requested for a 12 inch nakago, though
now I know its a 10 inch.
Therefore, the Tsuka is to be 14 inch
long.
SAME
Obviously a good one and naturally full wrap.
THE KOSHIRAE
As for the Koshirae, it is as
follows.
Tsuba has been already blackened to a dark gray as per your information. So this
is done.

Fuchi-Gashira
is this one which was scanned from Bugei's
catalog. It was the only one that I found to be matching with the Tsuba.
The Menuki
is this one, again to match with the circles of the tsuba. If you have a similar
one without any engravings at all, the better.
As for the ITO I definitely want the BLACK LEATHER in a katatemaki style that will show FIVE diamonds in front and at the back, before the ito goes together in the center wrap. The diamonds are also to show the Menuki.
The SEPPA is to be
flat design, silver.
HABAKI is SILVER and
is already finished with a GROOVE by you.
As for the SAYA its already on the making.
The center of the Horn Kurigata should be placed at
exactly at 5 inches from the Koiguchi mouth.
Koiguchi, Kurigata
and KOJIRI should be in black horn.
SAYA LENGTH not less than 32 inches.
SAGEO is to be all black silk, 4 loops
instead of three loops, like this one.
Same style, though.
