I find the habit of
taking photographs as mementos as an unconscious way of
perpetuating a moment or an event. it is most common in Macau
and I find it a very interesting habit. |

luís trabuco
sensei is a very good friend of mine, who introduced
kendo
and iaido
to Macau. his work on behalf of budo is superb, and he kindly
agreed to make a demonstration of iai kata.

son. my hakama was too long and my son's was too short.he is
towering over both of us. there was some laughs about the sizes. |

we took a picture
with rie
yamanaka, my
colleague at the museum. she is such a wonderful person.bright,
intelligent with a clear way of laughing from the heart. I
missed
priscilla and
stacy.
each is wonderful and unique. |

edmond
is both an evening
class design student and a graphic designer at the museum. a
great friend also, whom I always trouble to type chinese
characters for me in Illustrator. like with
rie,
stacy
and
priscilla,
we spend quality time exchanging views at the museum.
edmond
took the pictures of the events. he never saw a budo
demonstration before. |

a
great apology
is due to Macau
Design School project coordinator and friend, prof.
wilson chen
for not calling him
for a picture. he coordinated all the organization at the
Politechnic sports pavillion. but I was concentrated on
preparing the swords display. |
