The  sanmai tanto fittings concept, due to time and economical reasons was conceived, with the exception of the small tsuba, with available fittings from Fred Lohman.
The theme is silver and black with a breaking wave habaki for the blade and a similar Fuchi Kashira theme.
I personally find silver and black to be both elegant, understated, precious and also matching with the usual hakama and kimono for martial arts practice, or even for the more formal traditional kimono with pin stripes hakama.
